Location: New Windsor
Lafarge, the largest diversified supplier of construction materials in North America is looking for a Plant Maintenance Mechanic for their Medford facility in New Windsor, MD. Lafarge provides aggregates for a broad range of construction applications including projects that require specialized performance characteristics and delivery logistics. Aggregates include a full line of graded stone in various sizes, as well as concrete and masonry sand, gravel and slag aggregates.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
The Plant Maintenance Mechanic position is responsible for performing troubleshooting and preventative maintenance repairs on all plant related equipment including: conveyors, compressors, screens & pumps. Other duties include, but are not limited to: cutting, welding, washing/shoveling, equipment inspections, and completing required paperwork. The ability to work with minimal supervision and ensure all safety procedures are followed is essential.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Excellent Safety Record
· Previous experience in like industry
· Strong mechanical skills
· Cutting
· Stick Welding
· MSHA Training/Certification (Preferred)
· High School Diploma (Preferred)
· First Aid – CPR (Is a plus)
