Private Dining & Events Coordinator
 
We are seeking a Private Dining & Event Coordinator to join the team of a high-end restaurant located in Baltimore County.

Responsible for all private dining and special event functions from the initial inquiry through completion of event and follow up thereafter. Candidate will be responsible for going out and “selling” restaurant to event planners, large groups, holiday parties, etc. to bring business into restaurant. Candidate will need to work with customers to create menus for groups and finalize details for events. The other element of this position is being at the front of the house, greeting, hosting and seating guests. Qualified candidate must have polished, professional demeanor and presentation, an eye for quality and attention to detail, organizational, follow-up and documentation skills, and ability to think outside the box.
 
A summary of responsibilities includes but not limited to the following duties and requirements:
A) 3+ years of Hospitality Experience (a background in some of the following: serving, bartending, hosting, Management, Food & Beverage and Event Planning is preferred).
B) Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Outlook, Excel) a MUST, Experience in Open Table and Constant Contact preferred. 
C) Dedicated to consistently driving high standards and achieving service excellence while greeting guests at the front of the house, seating guests and having a pleasant phone etiquette- hosting duties are on a scheduled basis
D) Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you will be emailing and calling inquiries throughout the week and must exceed customer expectations on a daily basis. 
E) Excellent sales and people skills; It will be your responsibility to sell our restaurant to ensure they decide on us for their event.  
F) The ability to generate new business on your own- constantly making contacts with new businesses, groups, hotels, concierges and VIPs.    
G) Generate promotional notices for on/off premises.  
H) Collaborate with webmaster to update/review website information (menu, awards, email lists, blasts, etc) and monitor master email. 
I)  Coordination of annual golf tournament, holiday promotions, wine dinners and customer appreciation. 
J) Minor office and managerial duties as assigned; responsible for winter coat check hiring.
